Technical Presentations |
|
Proposals for technical presentations are solicited in the following general
areas, although presentations in any area of computer science will be considered.
This would be an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to
present their work. Non-academic presenters are also encouraged to propose
presentation topics.
- Computer Languages - current trends, compiler implementation
- Operating Systems - comparisons of commercial operating systems
(i.e. Windows vs. Unix vs. MacOS vs. BeOS ...), security, I/O performance
enhancements
- Computer Graphics - algorithms, software systems, hardware support,
human-computer interface
- Hardware - processor design, low-level optimizations, non-traditional
processor architectures
- Education - effective teaching techniques, "canned" projects for courses
All submissions will be examined by a program committee for its suitability to the
target audience.
