Biographies

• Dr. Netiva Caftori

  Dr. Caftori received all three of her degrees at the University of Illinois at Chicago in math and CS (1973, 1975, and 1994). She has been teaching Computer Science at Northeastern Illinois University since 1982 and now serves as the Midwest director for CPSR.

• Josh Michaels

  Josh Michaels is a University of Illinois student and three year veteran of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications Education and Outreach Group. Much of his work focuses on on-line learning and digital classrooms, specifically NCSA's TILE (Towards an Integrated Learning Environment) project. Josh's specialties include digital video, synchronous learning environments, video/audio conferencing and collaborative tools.
